The holiday resort Paljakka is an all-year holiday destination located in the middle of most beautiful, pristine natural environment, in Northern Finland, one hour from Kajaani Airport.<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

Paljakka is a snow-reliable destination. Good news for the lovers of Finnish winter activities. Snow guaranteed! Summertime you trek on trails through Finland\u2019s oldest ancient woodland. Hikers, berry and mushroom pickers, geocaching enthusiasts and fishers will have the time of their lives exploring the summer wilderness. In addition to relaxing in nature, you can hop onto and ATV, horse or (fat\/mountain) bike all-year round.<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

A weekend or a longer winter holiday at the glorious hillside of Paljakka will offer lots and lots to do for everybody. You will not get bored here! We offer speedy downhill skiing at the 30 slopes and 4 snow parks of Paljakka and Ukonhalla. It\u2019s possible to try out downhill skiing outside of the slopes on the untouched powder snow, and the Snowpark has jumps and rails for the bold and seasoned skiers. You can also rent the needed equipment at Paljakka, and beginners can join the skiing school, where they will be provided with guidance for the slopes and skiing trails.<\/p>\n

There are plenty of suitable and varying places for snowshoeing in the Paljakka area, and you can take off to a walking route straight from the rental shop. For example, try climbing on top of the Paljakka hill or a trip to Rakennusj\u00e4rvi to grill sausages on open fire. There\u2019s also over 100 kilometers of top condition skiing trails at your disposal. Part of them run through in the vicinity of the natural park amidst the glorious evergreen forests, where you can enjoy the silence and admire the winter beauty. There are great possibilities for ice fishing at the fishing park or surrounding lakes, without forgetting the amazing wilderness lake at the top of the hill. You can catch large perch, whitefish or even brook trout, or brown trout.<\/p>\n

If you want something more exciting to do on your vacation, you can rent snowmobiles and take off on a trip on your own. We also offer snowmobile safaris suitable for your skills and time. Come enjoy the beautiful winter of Finland at Paljakka!<\/p>\n

Diverse slopes invite you to downhill skiing<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ukkohalla and Paljakka have merged and with one ticket you are free to use the slopes of both skiing centers. With the Skibus you can switch centers in the middle of the day, the trip takes only approximately 20 minutes.<\/p>\n

The excitement of snowmobiling for big and small!<\/p>\n

Rent your own snowmobile and go on an adventure to the hilly landscape. Snowmobile safaris offer a safe and expert snowmobiling for snowmobilers. We rent cheap snowmobiles for kids, and we have a safe snowmobiling area for practicing purposes.<\/p>\n
